The Lovely Heater

For the past two nights, the heater in my dorm has been making an extremely high-pitched noise (as though something's loose inside). It's started both nights around one, and it's been keeping my roommate and me awake (her more so than me). It's incredibly annoying, and we'd put in a work request except for the fact that work requests seem to take forever (and have only occasionally been filled on time). So I'm going to housing after lunch today to see if our problem can be fixed before this evening.

Downgraded

I returned from African History this afternoon to find that my desk chair (with a rather old, sunken cushion) was replaced with another (but very similar) model made entirely of wood. What?!?! How am I supposed to sit in my chair comfortably and actually do work? I'll bet inmates have better chairs. And they don't even pay for their food.
